Breakfast My husband and I were visiting Reno for the weekend and love trying new restaurants. We saw the Wet Hen had great reviews and had to try it out! We were staying downtown so we did drive about 10 minutes to find it. The ingredients were fresh. No wait for a table. Staff were very polite and friendly. My husband a great chef himself, was impressed by the eggs Benedict, he said they were excellent! I had the veggie omelette and of course had to add some bacon and salsa. Their salsa is made by their chef and was great! I really enjoyed the food was very fresh, everything was cooked just right. We would say this is a good solid restaurant.
Best Hometown Cafe in Reno! If you want a warm, friendly environment with super country rustic food, this is it! Don't forget to have some of their famous cookies especially the chocolate espresso chocolate chip. You won't need a coffee pick-me-up when you have one of these.Thank you for treating all who come like family.
Good food, friendly, homey feeling The food is great. The turkey with cranberry sauce is the best anywhere. I have it every time I go, although the rest of the menu it tempting.I think it is family-owned, very personal service. The oatmeal cookie that comes with the sandwich is a nice treat.I usually take out, it is a bit crowded and noisy for conversing over a meal.
I went there every morning while I attending Real Estate School, the food is the BEST EVER,everyone there is very friendly, everything is fresh, and the pastries are just out of this world, honestly the best I've ever had in my life. the entire place is VERY,VERY clean. I would HIGHLY reccomend them. I usually don't write reviews but this place definitely deserves one. THE BEST PLACE I'VE BEEN TO IN RENO!!!!
